Packing for your visit

25 Mar,2013

We would like to offer you a brief list of clothing and other suggestions that should help you better plan your trip.

In higher altitudes that can be very cold, wearing multiple layers will allow you to adjust quickly to the temperature when necessary. A heavy jacket, preferably waterproof, and comfortable hiking shoes or boots are recommended. For muddy conditions, rubber boots are provided, and we have most sizes available at the lodge. To protect you against the intense sun, a wide-brim hat is suggested. When not birding, a warm hat and comfortable shoes can be worn in the lodge. For harsher, rainier conditions, a rain jacket and even rain pants will help keep you comfortably dry while enjoying the activities. Gloves are recommended for colder weather. Finally, please be sure to bring all necessary batteries and chargers since these may not be available in Ecuador.
